At Southeast Idaho Family Practice & Pediatrics, we perform select minor surgical procedures in our office for eligible patients. Receiving care in a familiar primary care setting can be a more convenient option for common procedures that do not require a hospital or outpatient surgery center.

What to Expect
Before your procedure, we'll review your symptoms, examine the treatment area, discuss risks and benefits, and answer your questions. Minor office procedures typically involve local anesthesia rather than general anesthesia, which can simplify treatment and recovery for many patients.
How to Prepare
Preparation depends on the type of procedure, but patients are commonly asked to share a full medication list, mention allergies, and follow any procedure-specific instructions from their provider. Wearing comfortable clothing and avoiding lotions or body products on the treatment area may also be recommended for some procedures.
Aftercare & Recovery
After your procedure, our team will provide instructions for wound care, activity restrictions, and signs to watch for during healing. Recovery time varies by procedure, and follow-up may be recommended to review healing, discuss biopsy results, or remove sutures if needed.
